What is a nicotine pouch?

A nicotine pouch goes under your upper lip, like snus, but it contains no tobacco: just nicotine, plant fibres and flavouring. No smoke, no vapour, nothing to light and nothing to spit. You keep it in for about half an hour, depending on the brand and the format, then bin it.

You will hear them called nicotine pouches, nic pouches or just pouches, and in the UK and Ireland many people still say “snus”. Traditional Swedish snus contains tobacco, nicotine pouches don’t, and everything we sell is tobacco-free.

Choosing your strength

Strength is the amount of nicotine per pouch, in mg, and it is the first choice to make.

• Light (2–6 mg): for beginners or light use.
• Normal (6–10 mg): the everyday strength for most regulars.
• Strong (10–20 mg): a clear kick, with KILLA, CUBA or ICEBERG.
• Extra Strong (20 mg and up): the high-mg end of the shelf, with PABLO, FEDRS and ICEBERG, for experienced users.

Mint leads the shelf, from soft mint to icy cooling, but fruit, berries, citrus, coffee, cola and sweet flavours all have their fans. Ice & Cooling is for people who like a cold, menthol finish; fruit and sweet flavours sit at the softer end. The brands on the shelf

Formats

Slim is the most common and the most discreet, Mini is smaller, and a few wider formats exist. The format changes the feel, not the nicotine printed on the can.

No nicotine: energy and sleep pouches

Energy pouches swap nicotine for caffeine, which is why you will also see them called caffeine pouches. OutDare Energy is ours. OutDare Sleep combines CBD and melatonin, with no nicotine and no caffeine. Everything without nicotine is also gathered under nicotine-free pouches.
